PhD Positions

A fully funded PhD position is available in the group to start in 2020. The candidate will work on communication between molecular species in dynamic supramolecular systems. The position will provide training in synthetic organic chemistry, coordination chemistry, self-assembly, and spectroscopy. Please contact us with your CV and a motivational letter if you are interested.

Postdoctoral Funding

Applications are invited for an ERC-funded postdoctoral position. The candidate will develop new molecular switching motifs and anion receptor types. The project requires a variety of approaches ranging from multi-step organic synthesis, binding and switching studies, to membrane transport assays. Applicants should have a PhD in Chemistry (or have submitted their thesis before the start date). The ideal candidate will have a solid background in organic synthesis and molecular recognition. Experience with molecular switches and molecular modelling is preferred but not required. Effective communication skills to supervise and train junior researchers in the laboratory is a must. The position is available immediately. Please contact us with your CV and a motivational letter if you would like to be considered.

Funding application: We are always interested in supporting grant applications of talented prospective postdoctoral fellows with experience in organic synthesis, coordination chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, or a related topic. Feel free to contact us when you consider applying for Marie Skłodowska-Curie, NWO-Veni, DFG-DAAD, or other suitable fellowships.

Student Internships

BSc and MSc students are welcome to apply for an internship placement. Please contact us for more information on possible projects.
